Monthly gathering to witness + be witnessed, under the care of the New Moon.

“THE NEW MOON ALTAR”

is a community experience. We gather under the care of the New Moon to plant what we want to bloom + allow ourselves to be seen.

Being witnessed is one of the greatest gifts we can offer one another. Being witnessed on our own terms. Outside of the binary and confines of what has been sold, told, or fed to us. 

We are tender,
yet full of dreams.

We are standing on our own,
and still need to be held.

Each on our own journey,
but part of a community.

Through the winter months we shed what needs to be shed, set intentions for spring’s bloom, we stand witness as we hold space for our dreams to unfold.

Most of us have been ripped from our native lands only to be thrown onto stolen land. How we navigate our sense of homelessness in community is our medicine.

HOW WE OPEN THE CIRCLE:

HOW WE hold space:
Astological wisdom + intuitive coaching

  • Each month we take what is happening in the sky + what is rumbling in our soul and bring them together.

  • Susheela will take us on a planetary visualizations where we'll meet the planetary host of the New Moon and see what messages they have for us.

  • Ayla will ask intentional questions holding us accountable as we bet on our own dreams.

HOW WE FACILITATE THE gathering:
Each-one-teach-one approach 

  • Space is offered during each gathering for you to showcase your intuitive gifts. If you want to share it, we want to experience it.

  • We are all each other’s guides, but no one knows you better than your knowing

  • We see community as medicine, community as liberation.

My name is Ayla, which means halo of light around the moon. I am a storyteller, holder of space, curator of experience, and creator of beauty. I have a Master’s in Human Rights and am an inclusive leadership consultant. I am an insatiably creative, hopeful romantic who believes in magic. I am a Queer Iranian/Canadian, mother of two, currently residing in Tiohtiá:ke/Montréal.

As a traditional astrologer, she aims to serve as a reliable guide, interpreting the symbols of the cosmos with clarity and groundedness. She believes that the planets act as our mirrors and mentors and that cultivating a relationship with them will bring richness to any spiritual practice. Susheela is a mother of two and a member of the Tamil diaspora. Born in the United Kingdom and raised in Canada, she resides in Tkaronto/Toronto.
